what would be your dream Apple Mac Pro configuration?
mine would have to be
-2x 3GHz intel quad core xeon processors
-16GB of ddr2 Ram(4 x4GB sticks)
-Nvidia Quadro FX 5600 1.5GB GDDR3 Graphics card
-2x 500GB 7200RPM Hard drives
-2 16x apple super drives
-Airport extreme wifi
-2 Apple 30 inch HD Monitors in extended desktop mode.
also what would you possibly use it for, i would use it for general compuing and high end audio recordin in logic pro and to edit photos and videos.
in relation to mr vista you would i would have the two monitors because you can put them into extended desktop- where the desktop is spread out over 2 screens.
also in relation to bear, the graphics card that i mentioned is more of a gamer's card as it is so much more powerful and has 3 x as much onboard memory
also mr vista, it isn't as good as you can get with it- you can have a whole lot better. and also P.S: change to mac they are so much better- vista is the sam as mac os x from 5 years ago, nothing new!!!!
I think that sounds just about as good as you can get. So yes, i'd have that. Why would you need two HD monitors though?
Id use it for graphic design, anumation - all the macromedia stuff really. and if i could learn how to do it maybe even a bit of program designing. The only trouble is i'm a bit committed to Windows Vista, so going to MAC may be a small issue - i could do it, but Bill Gates would be angry.
I may even use it to go on Y!A.
