Help!!! My TV picture flickers - New Samsung LCD TV/Digital Cable/TiVo?
I have a brand new Samsung 32" LCD TV, digital cable through Comcast via a Motorola DCT2000 box, and a Humax TiVo DVR+DVD+/-RW.
When trying to tune to any digital channel, the picture flickers (cuts in and out). The channels 1-99 show fine, but when I try to tune to channel 102, 114, 179, etc., the picture flickers (cuts in and out) so much that I can't watch anything without getting a headache.
I have an RF from the wall to the digital cable box, composite from cable box to tivo, component from TiVo to tv (changed to composite, but that didn't help).
What's wrong?!?
TiVo firmware is up-to-date as it is connected to my wireless network through a TiVo wireless adapter.
The TV is BRAND new - it works fine when connected through RF or on normal standard definition channels.
Well it SHOULD FLICKER ONLY when the channel changes....that's because you are dumping the OLD Video and sound and refilling the Buffers with NEW VIDEO AND SOUND....
But it should NOT do this all day long during the show.....
If that is your situation, YOU NEED to contact the cable company and have them look at your Cable /Tivo / TV setup to isolate the RF power loss....Then they can fix it.
